Lao National Assembly officials visit Vietnam

The Vietnamese National Assembly’s Committees will work together with their Laos counterparts for the success of the seventh Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership (ASEP 7), which will take place in Laos next month, Vice NA Chairman Uong Chu Luu said.

Luu received a delegation from the Lao NA’s Committee for Social and Cultural Affairs, led by its Chairman Phonethep Pholsena in Hanoi on September 10.
He reiterated Vietnam ’s persistent policy of always placing importance on boosting the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive co-operation with Laos.
Pholsena informed the host of the outcomes of his working sessions with the Vietnamese NA’s Committees for Science, Technology and Environment, and External Relations.
He said the two sides shared experience on managing and making legal documents and discussed measures to support Laos in organising the upcoming ASEP 7.
Pholsena said he hopes that the two sides will further co-operation, exchange experience in the management and making of legal documents relating to natural disaster prevention and mitigation, and closely coordinate at regional and international forums.
